How Does It Work

Direct-to-garment printing(DTG) is a process of printing on textiles using specialized water based ink jet technology. DTG printers typically have a platen designed to hold the garment or accessories in a fixed position, and the printer inks are jetted or sprayed onto the textile by the print head. Comparing to other methods of printing there are advantages to DTG printing.

As the printheads spray ink onto the fabric that gets cured as a later stage of process, there is virtually no hand fill to the finished product, another words nothing "sits on top", it is fully submerged into the fabric.

Small details down to 2-3mm with unlimited number of colors can be achived.

One of the most important components of digital printing is having a correct file format(PNG,TIFF,AI,SVG...) and color mode.(CMYK)

Ideally, it requires 300dpi, high resolution background free artwork.

In the process of Digital Printing light and dark colored garments are produced differently.
